Part-Time Pro

AUDITION ONLY

Our Part-Time Program offers flexible training across 1 or 2 afternoons per week, supporting high-level training alongside their school commitments. Our Part-Time program allows dancers to miss just one full school day while accessing the equivalent of two days of structured training.

Ages 8-15+ years
Option of 1-2 training half days per week
Training schedule designed to support Academic Balance

Qualifications

We are exploring the introduction of:

  • The Royal Ballet School's Affiliate Assessment Program
  • Certificate IV in Dance (CUA40120)

*As part of our CDA program standards, dancers complete our training preparation phase (6-12 months) when they join our academy, to ensure students meet the required physical & technical criteria for any qualifications that we offer*.

Part-Time students may further extend their training through our afterschool program, grounded in refined classical ballet technique and delivered through RAD exams, contributing toward QCE points.

RAD AT CDA

RAD Vocational Syllabus for QCE Points

From Intermediate Foundation through to Advanced 2 will grant students with Grade 12 QCE points.

  • Intermediate Foundation RAD Exam = 1 QCE point
  • Intermediate RAD Exam = 1 QCE point
  • Advanced Foundation RAD Exam = 2 QCE points
  • Advanced 1 RAD Exam = 2 QCE points
  • Advanced 2 RAD Exam = 2 QCE points

Expert RAD Coaching

  • Our coaches in every RAD Grade specialise in the syllabus, ensuring choreography, musicality, and stylistic detail are taught accurately to meet exam requirements
  • Exam masterclasses and mock exams are held during school holidays to refine exam work and maximise RAD exam results
  • Dancers can transition into the RAD syllabus at any stage, even if they have previously trained in a different syllabus

Part-Time Pro is ideal for committed dancers who are showing strong potential and motivation but are not yet ready for full-time training. This pathway allows dancers to experience professional-level training whilst balancing their academics in a structured way. Our faculty carefully assess each dancer and guide families on whether Part-Time Pro is the most supportive next step.
Part-Time Pro dancers have the option to train either 1 or 2 afternoons per week. Our after-school program allows Part-Time Pro dancers to curate their desired workload. Many dancers also choose to add after-school classes to support versatility and technique without overtraining.
Part-Time Pro 1 is for dancers who are demonstrating strong technical ability & focus for accelerated training. Part-Time Pro 2 supports dancers with clear potential who may need more time to build strength & confidence with our high-quality coaching.
Part-Time Pro dancers may complete RAD examinations and other recognised assessments, depending on their age and pathway. This structure allows dancers to continue gaining formal qualifications while building professional-level training hours.
Families can expect improved technical clarity & a clear sense of direction- whether that leads towards CDA full-time training, international opportunities, or continued development within after-school programs.
